Shortt Dental is a husband and wife dental team that has been practicing dentistry in South Lyon and West Branch, Michigan for over 20 years. We reside in the community and we have two sons in college and one daughter in high school.
We both trained at one of the top dental schools in the country, the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and have both taught and are currently on the faculty at the school. We feel that we offer a unique alternative in our dental practice as we are able to consult each other to provide our patients with the best possible treatment options, as quality treatment is our primary concern. Patients also have the option to choose a male or female dentist based on their own preferences.
We both enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and treating all ages. Continuing education very important to us, so that we can offer our patient the best and most current modes of treatment available to date. Dr. Bill has been extensively trained and certified in surgical placement of implants and has successfully placed over a thousand implants. He also removes impacted wisdom teeth on a regular basis. Both are trained and perform root canals here in the office. Dr. Therese has has concentrated on esthetic dentistry and is trained in Invisalign orthodonitcs, which is clear retainer tooth movement. Our office is outfitted with the latest technology including the CEREC CAD/CAM technology which scans and mills porcelain crowns in a single visit. We also have intraoral cameras, digital x-rays and the ZOOM whitening system.
